20 May 2022

Just like that, winter is here!

We all find ourselves in heads-down and eyes on the prize mode, with 2022 demanding of us that we put away our pivot and accept acceleration towards the outcomes we’ve set out to achieve.

So, as we take a deep breath and steady ourselves for what the remainder of the year will ask of us, we’ve been pondering this:

Anyone else voraciously consuming content again? We’re not talking about the usual Instagram memes, international news, or daily newsletters. We’re talking about the type of content you consciously pull towards yourself in the hopes of creating, leapfrogging your own understanding and launching yourself into the new. We’ve been inspired and refueled by the deep podcast greats like Esther Perel, Elizabeth Gilbert, Oprah, Brené Brown and Glennon Doyle.

THOUGHT – Are you curating the content you consume? If we are what we eat, then our minds and world too become shaped by what we absorb.

Einstein is quoted as saying “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.” – and we must agree. Not only professionally but personally too, the allure to stay within your comfort zone is always there, but no growth ever came from that – so here’s our reminder – what can we actively do to make this one life of ours exceptional?

THOUGHT – Have you set a BHAG for yourself? (That’s a Big Hairy Audacious Goal). Ours was to finally launch and grow The Brave Collective, which we’re fostering daily.

We can blame isolation, individualism or tech for the decreased sense of “community” around us – or we can do something to reach out and rebuild connection and care. We as humans are hungry for love in many shapes and forms and community is vital to feeding this.

The truth is however that it means putting yourself out there, contributing to a collective (big or small), and remaining committed to engaging with and truly being present for others.

THOUGHT – How are we doing more to be “energy-makers” and not “energy-breakers” within our day-to-day interactions?

Now with these musings down and shared, it’s time for one of us (Perri;) to embrace the above “C’s” (and some others like cuddles, crying and cots!) as we welcome in a new chapter with the imminent arrival of another baby girl to the Faith and Fear tribe!

Our broader team is prepped and ready to roll with you, and we thank you for your support in the coming months.

All our love,

Perri & Taryn
